I am the Chairman of the Trust. I was born in Colombo, Sri Lanka and came to England when I was four years old. I went to university in Southampton and later qualified as an accountant. I am now retired from my career at British Telecom, where I was previously the Group Finance Director, but my first love has always been playing and watching sport, especially cricket. I come from a cricketing family – my father captained the Tamil Union and my Uncles (Neil and Dennis) played for Sri Lanka.

I have been blessed in what I have achieved in my career and I feel this provides me with an opportunity to help children who have not had the same fortune as I have.

Our trust consists of family members, godchildren and friends. We come from a wide variety of age groups, experiences and backgrounds, but we have a common aim – we are all committed to making the lives of the children in Sri Lanka better.
